Women's History Month- March 1st through March 31st – commemorates and celebrates the pivotal role of women in American history.

Check out DESTINY (Remember Curbside Pick-up is available!!to search our collection of books written by and about WOMEN throughout the ages. Take a look at the Library of Congress to learn more about women who have made a difference in the past as well as those making changes today.

 

       

Black History Month is February 1, 2021- February 28, 2021

Come Celebrate Black History Month with Calvert County's very own Michael Kent on Wed. 2/24 next week through Teams during lunch hour. Ms. Geiger is hosting Mr. Kent who will be discussing his book Mulatto: The Black History of Calvert County.  Mr. Kent and his book are featured in the most recent edition of the Calvert County Times. 

 

Check out DESTINY (Remember Curbside Pick-up is available!!to search our collection of books written by and about African Americans. You can also access our online databases such as ABC-Clio American History and *ProQuest Black Freedom Struggle in the US and the Library of Congress to learn more about African American heroes from the past as well as those making a change today.

 

 

           

COME GET YOUR CRAFT ON!

Are you a crafter or want to be a crafter, but don't know how to get started?  Well now is the perfect time to learn and teach others.  The NHS Library will be hosting "Get Your Craft On"- we will meet every Wednesday in the month of January to create, share ideas and our craft creations.  

This program will have something for everyone- from the beginner to the expert!
