The WHMS Spring Book Fair was a success thanks to you! We raised $1300 for our library and received $400 in books for students and our library. Thank you volunteers, students and parents for supporting this important event!
"We All Belong" Book Club was a big SUCCESS!
The We All Belong Book Club wrapped up on February 24th with a meet-the-authors meeting on Teams for librarians, teachers and students! There were over 140 staff and students in attendance to meet Meg Medina, Alison Green Myers and Lamar Giles. They answered questions from the readers, shared insight into how they write and gave us a glimpse into what they are currently working on! Besides hearing from these amazing authors, the best part of the evening was hearing students squeal with delight when they saw the authors. One student said "It's really Meg Medina!" Another held up "The Last, Last Day of Summer" and said "It's Lamar Giles! I have his book right here!" The enthusiasm was wonderful. Thank you to the 30 WHMS students and five staff members that participated. We hope to have another book club with new books and new authors. Stay tuned!
