Mission of the WHMS Media Center
To provide opportunities for students and staff to become effective users of ideas and information. Learning and teaching, information access, and program administration are the essential elements of our school library media program.
The media program seeks to ensure that students acquire the necessary information literacy skills needed to become productive learners with skills and knowledge necessary to lead successful meaningful lives in the 21st century. This mission recognizes the essential role of the school library program in the educational process as students reach their full potential.
About Me
My name is Anne Jones and I have been the Media Specialist at Windy Hill Middle School since 2004. I am a career changer, having worked for 16 years at Freddie Mac in Mclean, Virginia. I am the School Based Technology Coordinator, the Camelot News Network (CNN) Sponsor, the Green Team Sponsor and a WHMS "Keepin' It R.E.A.L." Girls Club sponsor. My hobbies include cycling, travel, getting lost in a good book and being outdoors as much as possible!
